Stone circles are megalithic structures that include standing stones arranged in a circular pattern, Built all over Ireland, Britain, France and many other parts of Europe from the Neolithic to the Bronze Age, they are often aligned with sunrise or sunset on equinoxes or solstices, suggesting their ritual role in prehistoric communities.
This one of a kind pendant features a part of a stone circle. Each little stone has been hand fabricated from recycled sterling silver and carefully textured to resemble real stone surface. The circle is placed above a large irregularly shaped, prong set amazonite, a greenish gemstone that has been used for jewellery at least since the time of ancient Egypt. In contemporary gemstone lore, like all green stones, amazonite is believed to be connected to money, luck and overall success.
